2024-2025 Year-End Gratitude Message from the Durham Catholic Children's Foundation

Dear DCDSB Staff, Students and Families,

As the academic year draws to a close, we come together with immense gratitude and hope. On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation, we offer a heartfelt thank you for another year of dedication, compassion, and community spirit.

This year, guided by our mission to bring hope to students in need and our vision of nurturing a Catholic community that supports students in becoming who they are called to be, we have witnessed extraordinary generosity and collaboration.

Thanks to your support - through fundraising events such as the #ForeTheKids Golf Classic (in August), Giving Tuesday, Walk for Hope, Foundation Gala, and our bursaries - we’ve been able to extend tangible support to families and students across our Durham Catholic learning community. Whether providing meals, school supplies, or emergency relief, your commitment has allowed students to engage fully in their school communities with dignity and hope.

We are deeply thankful to the many sponsors, donors, volunteers, and partners whose generosity has resonated in school hallways and lives across Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering, Uxbridge, Scugog, and Brock. You have shown that compassion and service are cornerstones of our Catholic values - faith, hope, love, service and stewardship.
