Foundation Bursary
The Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation proudly supports students pursuing post-secondary education by offering 18 bursaries annually across the region, two per DCDSB secondary school. Each bursary is valued at $500, with a total of $9,000 distributed each year to help students with the costs of continuing their education or training.
Selection Process
Recipients are chosen by the Graduation Awards Committee at each secondary school. Selection is based on financial need and the student’s demonstration of the values and attributes outlined in the Catholic Graduate Expectations.

Bursaries are presented to recipients at their graduation ceremony or celebration, marking an important milestone and recognizing their achievements and dedication.
Making a Difference
These bursaries not only provide financial support but also encourage students to continue striving for excellence and living out their faith and values as they embark on their post-secondary journey.
