Kim Beatty

I chose to join the Board of the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation because supporting vulnerable children and families has always been close to my heart. As a former President of the Durham YWCA, I advocated for women and children escaping intimate partner violence, and that experience continues to shape my commitment to community service. 

As a Trustee, promoting the wellbeing of our students is central to my role. Serving on this Board allows me to extend that care. 

As a Catholic woman of faith, I also see this work as a meaningful way to honour our Lord Jesus Christ by supporting the most vulnerable and demonstrating love within our community.
